Thorndike Pond is a shallow, warm water pond raised by a dam on Stanley Brook. It is fished primarily for bass and pickerel, which are found everywhere in the pond. This is a nice quiet place to fish for these species. The shore is lightly developed and there is limited boat access. There is a place to put in car-top boats or canoes on the northwestern shore. The dam at Stanley Brook keeps the water level up in the summer, but the pond is drawn down in winter, making for good ice fishing. Average ice-out is the last week in April.
