Have you fished at Dublin Lake(monadnock Pond)? Be the first to comment on this fishing spot.
A productive and popular pond with big Brook Trout and some Rainbow Trout as well as good Rainbow Smelt Fishing, Dublin Lake is easy to reach on busy Rt. 101 between the towns of Peterborough and Keene in southern NH. Fish here can be wary at times; careful presentation or slow trolling may be necessary to take these Trout. The public launch at the western edge of the pond is a good place to fly fish. Fisherman should know that the shoreline is privately owned and no tresspassing is allowed. Wading anglers can enter at some areas close to the road, at the boat lunch, or at Cemetery Cove. Average ice-out is mid April. Although there is no public beach on Dublin Lake, there is public access for boats. Follow Lake Road off Route 101. The views of Mt. Monadnock from the Lake make this a worthwhile stop and a great place for boaters wishing to take in the scenery while they enjoy their craft. The best fishing is from season opening to late June and again during the fly-fishing-only season in the fall.
