I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of fish in this lake! Largemouth, Smallmouth, Black Crappie, White Perch, Yellow Perch & Bluegill. Night fishing has yielded several large Hornpout and American Eels.
And, strangely enough, one lone Rainbow Trout, mid May. |

If you're looking for a good Bass fishery around the Salem, NH. area this is it! You will catch some really nice size Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass as well as some nice Chain Pickerel, Yellow Perch, Black Crappie and Brown Bullhead. If you plan on shore fishing make sure you take a ride all the way around the Reservoir first to make sure you find a spot you can access easily due to the higly developed shoreline of this reservoir. There are few good spots that the public can access from shore though. This Reservoir has probably the most submerged pieces of cover that the fish love to hide out at/in. There many mills, cars, etc.... |
