Yellow perch large. I troll the island landing 4lb. large mouth using crawler, can't beat the action! Larger southern body gets real windy but you will land 5lb. plus bass easily.
With a crooked, irregular shoreline, Swains Lake, enlarged by a dam on the Bellamy River, offers Bass fishing opportunities galore. Although it is noted primarily for its Largemouth Bass fishing, the pond also has Smallmouth Bass. The angler will find the rocky shoreline attractive and lightly developed. It is also known as "Swains Pond" and Union Pond. There is 1 boat launch on the Lake located on the northwestern side near the inlet heading towards Rt. 9.
Swains Lake is a 349-acre (1.41 km2)[1] water body located in Strafford County in eastern New Hampshire, in the town of Barrington. Water from Swains Lake flows via the Bellamy River to the Piscataqua River estuary.
