Located in the White Mountain National Forest, Stinson Lake is nevertheless accessible from Interstate 93 or Route 25. Access to the lake is by a private, paved boat ramp. A fee is charged. The lake shore is entirely wooded and there is no development. Ice-out can be expected in late April/early May. Stinson Lake is open for ice fishing and gives the angler an opportunity to seek trout, yellow perch, and pickerel through the ice. Excellent results have been reported. It is usually illegal to use powered boats in White Mountain National Forest waters, but Stinson Lake is an exception.
