Island Pond is a natural body of water with a large island in the middle and several smaller islands scattered about. The islands dramatically increase the fishing shoreline of this warm water Bass fishing spot. The state also stocks the pond with Rainbow Trout and good catches have been reported. Experienced anglers here report catches of sometimes large Rainbow Trout. The moderately developed shoreline is mostly wooded with some swampy areas. Access to the pond is sometimes a problem due to the fact that the launch site near the dam is not always open. Average ice-out is late April.
