Hood's Pond is easily accessible at Hood's Park in Derry. The NH Fish & Game Dept. stocks the pond annually with Brook Trout and Rainbow Trout also when available. There are also Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Brown Bullhead, Black Crappie and Chain Pickerel. The fishing action can be very slow here probably due to the fact that there is a public park along the pond that provides plenty of access along most of that entire side of the pond. There are some very large snails that inhabit the pond which I'm sure are one of the primary forage foods of the pond. You may notice a very foul smell coming from this pond at times.
