While in Virginia back in 2007
I leisurely went croaker fishing out of
Hampton Rhodes (Chesapeake Bay area)
a full 8 hours for $20 in 30-50 feet of water,
using 2-to-6lb. test line
earthworms, seaworms, shrimp and what ever...
These tough warm water trash fish would croak like frogs once removed from the water...
People there would catch them by the barrel full and fry them up
at backyard/church fish fries...
Well guess what...
They are now being caught off of Cape Cod
Chatham, Mass.
So I imagine that our tradional cold water fish will be migrating north to Maine and Canada waters...
