Ashuelot River Description
The river is very lightly stocked and if they spread out because of the depth and contour of the river. This River could use to be stocked with about a hundred times the fish they actually put in it. Especially with all the dams remove now. A lot of small Brooks come in that have native brook trout that actually get sizable if you fish where they dumped into the river. I float miles of it with my fly rod you never know where you're going to catch something. Mostly smallmouth bass but have caught some nice Brown and brook trout which as I said need to be stocked more. I wouldn't plan a trip here for trout fishing but they are a nice bonus.
